DESCRIPTION

Himatrade Ventures Limited seeks to engage in the production and packaging of toothpick. The objective is to add value to bamboo and take advantage of the large market for the product in Nigeria. The capacity of the proposed plant is 5,000,000 pcs in eight (8) hours. The plant would operate double shifts of eight (8) hours each operating at 90% of the installed capacity working 300 day per annum and processing nine (9) tons of raw bamboo bi-monthly. The offered plant consists of the following equipmentBamboo sawing machine, Bamboo dissection machine, width-setting & knot remove machine, Bamboo stick forming machine, Stick Length fixing machine, Toothpick length fixing machine, Polishing machine, Toothpick forming machine, Blade grinding machine, Generator and Transformer. The business is located in Ikorodu, Lagos State and this would ensure easy access to the major raw material and market while the manpower required to run the business is about thirty three {33} persons.

THE PLAN

the plan is commence production at 10% capacity utilization. and gradually scale up to 100%. this means starting production with 500,000 pieces per day.

The amount required for this capacity is N10m. this will be utilized as follows

1. Pre-start up expense - N4,000,000

2. 6 months wages - N1,800,000 ( engaging 11 personnel)

3. Operating Expense - N2,200,000

4. Production material - N2,000,000

5. Total - N10,000,000
